Installation Art > A Thread X (Meets) A Thread ~ Treasuring the Moment ~

In September 2020, I was able to spend time as an artist in residence at Red Barn Studio, in Lindsborg, KS, supported by The Raymer Society. The town is called "Little Sweden" in Kansas, a very unique town with a Swedish atmosphere in the middle of the U.S. The studio is a part of artist Lester Raymer's former house and now the Red Barn Studio Museum featuring his works. I spent time exploring the town and creating paintings while showing my work "A Thread X A Thread." I called it "A nest," a home away from home, as it looked like a nest with intricate gathered thread pieces. I felt safe and sound in the studio room. Threads were added to my piece by the visitors to the museum from different parts of the state, country, and beyond.
