Tulsa Community College Workshop
In March 2020, at the Center for Creativity of Tulsa Community College, I was given an opportunity to give a lecture, artist talk, and do a workshop.
For the workshop, I was asked to introduce an easy activity that the participants can finish in a short period of time. We created a lampshade with a two-liter bottle and yarns. I liked the idea that the participants created a light and took it home from my show. In the second session, we made a big "Community Piece" together using these two-liter bottles and yarns. I chose the colors for the yarn from the colors in the Tulsa flag.
The objectives of the workshop:
To learn about knotting technique
To explore ideas of home, traveling, building relationships with people and the community.
