I showed my A Thread X A Thread and some paintings at an old Machiya-style art gallery in Asuka, Nara, Japan. The light shining through the window grids integrated with my thread work, creating intricate images on the walls and floor. Asuka is proclaimed as the ancient capital of Japan during the Asuka Period, 538 - 710 AD. I did an artist residency experience in the village exploring the historic archaeological sites during my stay there.
