Minami Terrace is a community-based art space located in a quiet residential area in the center of Tokyo where young people and families gather. It is a rare gem in busy Tokyo. I especially liked its large beams and milk glass pendant light collection in the high ceiling. Surrounded by my thread work, a young singer from Texas sang several songs playing her guitar inspired by the theme of the show "Home" along with her original songs. I did an artist talk and discussion time. Many threads were added to my piece. This became my first show in Tokyo, Japan.
