Life is like a journey. We are all sojourners and travelers on the earth. A traveler cannot know the whole reality of the next destination. In that place, what seems illogical may not actually be illogical, and what seems irrational may not actually be irrational. My approach to contemplating this place is similar to the phenomenon of iridescence—a phenomenon in which the color of a surface changes depending on the angle from which it is viewed.
I expressed my questions and appreciation toward the uncertainty of this place by layering images and constantly changing them using various techniques and mediums. The material of thread serves as the “clue” to guide me, just as the Japanese phrase for “the end of a thread” (itoguchi) means “clue.” It constantly reminds me that clues lie in the very process of exploring this place.
